Duluth's Jukich stellar in Korean baseball league

Former Duluth Denfeld standout Ben Jukich has been selected to participate in the Korean Baseball Organization’s all-star game for the second consecutive year.

Jukich, a left-handed starting pitcher, is 9-2 with a 2.24 ERA this season for the LG Twins, where he has pitched since 2011 after his rights were purchased from the Cincinnati Reds.

The Duluth native pitched for Wesleyan University in Mitchell, S.D., before playing professionally in the Oakland A’s, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds organizations.

The KBO all-star game is Saturday in Seoul, South Korea.
