Duluth's Jukich stellar in Korean baseball
league
Former Duluth Denfeld standout Ben Jukich has
been selected to participate in the Korean Baseball Organization’s
all-star game for the second consecutive year.
Jukich, a left-handed starting pitcher, is 9-2
with a 2.24 ERA this season for the LG Twins, where he has pitched
since 2011 after his rights were purchased from the Cincinnati Reds.
The Duluth native pitched for Wesleyan University
in Mitchell, S.D., before playing professionally in the Oakland
A’s, St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Reds organizations.
The KBO all-star game is Saturday in Seoul, South
Korea.
