Ben Halverson rushed for 290 yards and scored three touchdowns and the Hunters’ defense blanked the host Bluejackets in a Section 7AAAA first-round playoff game Tuesday night.

Halverson, who surpassed 1,000 yards on the season, scored on runs of 31, 2 and 23 yards and had a 70-yarder called back by a penalty.

Denfeld (2-7) advances to play a semifinal at top-seeded Hermantown at 6 p.m. Saturday.
