John "Jack" Moon
After graduating from Denfeld in 1946, Jack Moon went to the University
of Minnesota School of Law, served in the Korean conflict and was
a successful real estate developer and attorney in Duluth.
He saw a need for vocational and technical education
in Duluth and wanted to help make it happen. A very private man,
he surprised the community by posthumously donating $4 million to
start a college scholarship for Denfeld students pursuing vocational
and technical educations.
