Swanson closes career

Duluth Denfeld girls basketball coach Dick Swanson has announced his retirement after 22 seasons. He finished with a 301-240 record, six Lake Superior Conference titles and one Section 7AA championship in 1992.

Assistant James Jubenville will follow Swanson as head coach.

Also retiring as Denfeld head coaches are Heather Lindstrom in girls soccer after two years, and Mark Krysiak as boys and girls golf coach after 16 years.
