expansion

It's important to note these are not detailed
architectural plans, they are schematics. During schematic design,
architects create conceptual drawings that explore scale, appearance
and adjacencies of space inside and outside a building.
Schematic drawings take into consideration site
parameters, how a building might best fit on a site, what spaces
need to be included in the structure and how they might best flow,
the amount of square footage to be allocated to each area, student
flow, parent access, community access and other broad concepts.
The Denfeld schematics show an addition with
improvements to the cafeteria, security for students and staff,
improved accessibility and additional classrooms. Interior remodeling
will upgrade classrooms while respecting the integrity and design
of the original structure.
