Miss Snodgrass
dies in Iowa
Lenore K. Snodgrass, widely known Duluth school
teacher and active in educational affairs, died unexpectedly yesterday
while visiting a sister in Marshalltown, Iowa. She suffered a cerebral
hemorrhage.
Miss Snodgrass had taught English at Denfeld High
School since 1918 and prior to that at Loveland, Colo.
She had been active in the American Association
of University Women, the Women’s Institute, and the Delta
Kappa Gamma national education sorority for many years. She was
a delegate this past summer to conventions of the AAUW and the education
sorority. She was a member of First Methodist Church.
The English department at Denfeld set up an educational
scholarship fund in honor of Miss Snodgrass
when word of her death was received.
Funeral services will be held in Indianola, Iowa,
where Miss Snodgrass was born. The time of the services is pending.
