Court administrator retiring Thursday
St. Louis County Court Administrator Cindy Stratioti
sent out news releases this week informing the media that a ceremony
was being held Friday to honor 6th Judicial District Judge David
Johnson’s retirement from the Marines.
However, Stratioti didn’t tell the media
she was honored by her staff as well, as present and former court
colleagues gathered in a ceremony Thursday in recognition of her
30 years in court administration.
Sixth Judicial District Judge Shaun Floerke said
Stratioti deftly handled the challenge of doing more with less during
tight budgetary times.
“We’ve had to retool just about every
piece of the business, how we do the work, where we use and don’t
use our folks,’’ Floerke said. “Cindy has worn
many hats during that process — cheerleader, bad guy, good
guy, messenger — getting shot at often, of course —
the buck stops here, etc. Through it all — win, lose or draw
— she has been unfailingly loyal, concerned, open and tireless
in her efforts on behalf of our staff, the organization and thus
directly on behalf of citizens seeking justice. She has never faltered
in her devotion and commitment to make things better.’’
Stratioti’s last day of work will be Thursday.
